Activity completion did not check off (URLs and Files)

The reason activity completion is not checking off depends on the type of activity. This article describes what to do for URLs and Files

Documentation for other types of activities will be added in the future. If you are having troubles with a different type of activity, then submit a help ticket if you haven’t already. If you are not sure of the type of activity, compare the activity icon in the course to the icons above. The example below shows four activity types within a course, a URL, a Word Document File, a PDF File and another URL.

  1. URLs and Files either download or open in a new window, thus you often need to reload the Hub course homepage for activity completion to check off. 

  2. Choose one of the following:

    1. Exit the course and come back. No need to log out. Simply go to any other page in the Hub and then come back to the course. 

    2. Refresh the browser. How to do this depends on the type of computer and browser, and can be done with either a button in your browser or with keyboard shortcuts. Visit this website for instructions on how to refresh; you can skip the parts about ‘clearing your cache.’

  3. Check to see if activity completion has checked off. 

  4. If that does not work, click on the activity again, and then repeat step 2. 

  5. If activity completion still has not checked off, then submit a help ticket. In the ticket, let us know that you tried refreshing your browser.
